Exercise 17. Fill in the blanks with the conjunctions and, but, either, neither.
Find out why some parents think that having a teenager at home is the same as having a cat. Don't take it seriously, please.
... cats ... teenagers turn their heads to you when you call them.
You will never see a cat walking outside the house with its master, nor would you see a teenager in public with his or her parents often.
A cat doesn't share your taste in music. A teenager doesn't either.
... cats ... teenagers can lie on the sofa for hours without moving.
Cats expect you to cook food for them, and so do teenagers.
If you tell a joke, neither your cat nor teenager will laugh at it.
If you suddenly move in their direction, neither cats nor teenagers get frightened.
Cats do not improve and mature outside. Teenagers don't either.
Conclusion: no matter if you have a cat or a teenager at home - all the same.
