Theme 2 Education plays an important role in the life of society. It is an integral part of success. Education influences the way people look at the world and makes them change their views. In order to be successful you should be a qualified specialist, a skillful professional in your sphere. (4) Now I am a first-year student at Lugansk State University named after V. Dahl. I study at the Institute of Civil Defense. To my mind my future profession is especially important nowadays because we can't imagine our lives without firefighters. (3) Our university is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in our country. It was founded in 1920, and in 2001 it was named after Vladimir Dahl. The university provides training to foreign students. University provides training for foreign students. Students of the departments can get Bachelor's degree, become specialists or receive Master's and Doctor's degrees at different departments. (4) The teaching staff includes doctors and candidates of science, professors and many experienced and highly qualified instructors. The rector of the University is the doctor of technical sciences, professor Ryabichev V.D. (2) The term of instruction is four or five years. Graduates become specialists and get Bachelor or Master Degree according to the chosen course. There is a post-graduate course for the students who do some research work. (3) Our students have all the facilities for studying: lecture halls, labs, computer centers, a library and reading halls. Our students glorifjy their Alma Mater in softball competitions, chess, basketball, baseball, football, swimming, weightlifting, tennis, arm wrestling, powerlifting, aerobics, etc. (2) There is a museum at our University. The museum was founded in 1999 to tell about the history of Dahl University to students, schoolchildren, university staff and guests of the city. The scientific library of Dahl University is a modern dynamic center. It is the information base for scientific research work. (4) In order to become a fire safety officer, you need to have such qualities as: a strong nervous system, dexterity and physical strength, a desire to help people, courage, good reaction, mutual assistance, intelligence, discipline, and the ability to take responsibility. You must be a true professional with indepth knowledge, experience and competence in your field. You must be genuinely interested in what you do.
