Our body is a hard system that consists of so-called “parts”. Each part of our body has its own task. For instance, we need eyes to see different articles, legs and arms – to move and do various things. Literally our body can be divided into a head, trunk and certainly limbs. The main part of the head is called the skull. The skull encloses the brain. A forehead, face and mouth belong to a head. A trunk – it’s a neck, belly and a chest. The trunk is divided into two large cavities by diaphragm. The upper cavity of the trunk is called chest (thorax) and the lower one is called the belly. Such parts of the body as head and back are particularly important for us. Brain (our head) is responsible for all our body. In other words, it controls both our physical organs and psychological state. As for a spine, which is situated on our back, it also supports healthy function of all organs. The upper limb (extremity) is divided into the shoulder, the upper arm, the forearm and the hand. The joint between upper arm and forearm we call the elbow. The wrist is the joint between forearm and hand. Each hand has five fingers. The lower limb consists of the thigh-bone (the femur), the shin-bone (the tibia) and the fibula. We call the calf the back of the lower leg. The joint between the femur and the lower leg is called the knee-joint. This joint is protected by the knee-cap (the patella). The joints between lower legs and feet are the ankles. The foot consists of heel, sole and toes. Therefore, we should pay more attention to the health of all our body parts. To be much healthier we need to spend a lot of time on physical exercises, go in for sports and eat well-balanced food.
