Задание 1: Обсуждение увлечений
Пример: Sewing is not popular with teenagers nowadays, but my granny used to sew when she was my age. Writing stories is also not as popular, as many teens prefer reading or watching movies instead. On the other hand, skateboarding is very popular among teenagers today, as it allows them to express their creativity and enjoy an active lifestyle. Ice-skating seems to be less popular now, although it can be a lot of fun in winter. Knitting is mostly seen as an old-fashioned hobby and is not common among my peers, but some might find it relaxing. Collecting stamps is another hobby that has lost popularity, even though it can be really interesting to learn about different cultures through stamps. Playing chess is still enjoyed by many, but it’s more popular among those who enjoy strategic thinking. Boxing is a popular sport that many teenagers practice to stay fit and learn self-defense. Fencing, while exciting, isn’t widely practiced among teenagers today. Football remains one of the most popular sports worldwide, and nearly everyone likes playing or watching it. Painting and songwriting can attract creative teens who want to express themselves, but they might not be as commonly pursued as sports like football or skateboarding.
