As soon as we stepped in, the door slammed behind us with a loud bang. My heart raced! “Did you hear that?” squeaked Lily, her voice trembling. “It’s just the wind,” I said, trying to sound brave. But as we wandered through the dusty rooms, strange noises echoed around us. Suddenly, we saw a shadow dart across the wall!

We screamed and ran into the kitchen, where we found a huge, hairy spider. “This is it, we’re doomed!” Greg shouted. Turns out, it was just a little old cat who had been living there all along. We laughed so hard that we couldn’t even breathe. After that, we found some old costumes in the attic and decided to throw an impromptu Halloween party right there in the haunted house!
