Elias was a young man who wanted to be a horror writer. He sat at his laptop in his messy study, where only a small beam of moonlight shone through the darkness. Dust floated in the air, and his screen flickered as he tried to write. He felt bored and alone, and his mind was stuck. He wanted to create a scary monster, but all he could think of was a grumpy houseplant. Then he tried to write about a creepy feeling, but the words felt heavy and difficult to type. The shadows in the room and the smell of old paper made everything feel eerie. He felt frustrated and upset.
Out of nowhere, a loud scream came from the attic. The sound was so sharp it made Elias shiver. He jumped in his chair, his heart racing. "What was that?" he whispered, barely able to hear himself over the howling wind coming from a broken window. Then, he heard a loud crash that shook the house. "Someone is up there," he said, feeling more anxious with each moment. It was as if the attic responded with a groan.
Feeling scared but curious, Elias slowly walked up the old, creaking stairs. As he climbed, a heavy sense of dread filled him. When he finally reached the attic, he saw a broken doll lying on the floor. Its painted eyes stared blankly at him, sending a wave of fear through him. In that moment, he realized he was no longer interested in writing horror stories. He just wanted to escape the terrifying situation he found himself in. Ironically, the scare in the attic gave him the inspiration he needed.
