Narwhals primarily inhabit the Arctic waters around Greenland, Canada, and Russia. They are typically found in deep, icy seas and fjords, often venturing into areas with pack ice. Narwhals are known to migrate between summer and winter habitats, spending summers in shallow, coastal waters and moving to deeper offshore waters as winter approaches. Their habitat is closely tied to sea ice, which provides protection from predators and access to their prey, mainly fish and squid.
