For Exercise 17, here is an example story retold in the third person singular:
Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Cinderella. She lived with her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, who treated her poorly. Cinderella spent her days doing all the chores around the house. One day, a royal ball was announced, and everyone was excited to attend, especially her stepsisters. Unfortunately, Cinderella was not allowed to go.
However, her Fairy Godmother appeared and magically transformed Cinderella’s rags into a beautiful gown. She also turned a pumpkin into a carriage and mice into horses. Cinderella was overjoyed and went to the ball. She captivated everyone, especially the prince.
As the clock struck midnight, Cinderella had to leave before the magic wore off. In her haste, she left behind a glass slipper. The prince searched the kingdom to find the girl who fit the slipper. Finally, he found Cinderella, and when she tried on the slipper, it fit perfectly. They got married and lived happily ever after.
