Translation to English:
Ivan Kupala is an ancient Slavic holiday celebrated on July 7. It is associated with the summer solstice and the worship of nature. On this day, various rites, rituals, and folk festivities are held. One of the main symbols of the holiday is the fern flower, which, according to beliefs, blooms only on this night. People go in search of this flower, believing that it brings happiness and wealth. Another traditional element of the celebration is jumping over a bonfire. It is believed that this way a person cleanses themselves of sins and charges with the energy of the sun. On this day, young women also weave wreaths from field flowers and send them on the water while making a wish. If the wreath sinks, the wish will not come true; if the wreath floats away, the wish will surely be fulfilled. The celebration of Ivan Kupala is a vivid example of how ancient traditions and beliefs intertwine with folk customs and become part of modern culture.
