2 a You are going to give a talk about your school. You will have to start in 1.5 minutes and speak for not more than 2 minutes (10-12 sentences). Remember to say: •  what you like about your school most of all • how many lessons a day you usually have • what school subjects you have chosen for your exams, and why • what your attitude to the number of subjects you have to learn is.   You have to talk continuously.   I’m going to give a talk about my school. As all teenagers in the world I’m sometimes lazy and don’t want to go to school but there are some good things about it.  I love that I can meet my best friends there as we study at the same school. We can study together and help each other, then we go for a walk and have some fun. We have the same interests and a lot of topics to discuss. My typical school day is busy. We usually have got more than 6 lessons every day. The most difficult day of the week for me is Monday as we have 7 lessons. I have chosen two subjects for my exams this year. The first one is English as it’s one of my favourite subjects at school and, I think, I’m good at it. Also I’ve chosen Social science as I hope it won’t be difficult to pass. In general, my attitude to to the number of subjects we have to learn is positive. I like a variety and want to be educated in different spheres. Next years I would rather be more focused on the subjects which may be useful for my future career. I think that’s all that I wanted to tell you about my school. Task 2. You are going to take part in a telephone survey. You have to answer six questions. Give full answers to the questions. Remember that you have 40 seconds to answer each question. Electronic assistant: Hello! It's the electronic assistant of the Marvel's Healthcare Centre. We kindly ask you to take part in our survey. We need to find out how people feel about eating habits. Please answer six questions. The survey is anonymous - you don't have to give your name. So, let's get started. 1. What do you usually have for breakfast? 2. How many times a day do you usually have meals? 3. What time do you usually have your last meal? 4. Is your diet healthy? Why do you think so? 5. Is eating only healthy food important to you? Why? 6. What would you recommend to a teenager who wants to start a healthy diet?

Talk about My School

I’m going to give a talk about my school. Like many teenagers, I sometimes feel a bit lazy and don’t want to go to school, but there are some great aspects to it. What I love most about my school is the friendships I've built. I get to meet my best friends every day, and we enjoy studying together and supporting each other. After classes, we often go for walks and have a lot of fun because we share similar interests and topics to discuss.

A typical school day for me is quite busy, as we usually have six or more lessons each day. Honestly, Mondays are the toughest for me since we have seven lessons, which can be exhausting. For my exams this year, I have chosen English and Social Science. I really enjoy English; it's one of my favorite subjects, and I feel confident in it. I chose Social Science because I believe it will be manageable and informative.

Overall, I have a positive attitude towards the number of subjects I have to learn. I appreciate the variety they offer and want to gain knowledge in different fields. In the coming years, I plan to focus more on subjects that will be beneficial for my future career. That’s all I wanted to share about my school.

Telephone Survey: Eating Habits

  1. What do you usually have for breakfast?
I typically have a healthy breakfast, which usually includes oatmeal topped with fresh fruits and a glass of orange juice. Sometimes I also enjoy yogurt with granola and nuts. This combination gives me energy for the day ahead and keeps me feeling full until lunchtime.

  2. How many times a day do you usually have meals?
I usually eat three main meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally, I like to include some healthy snacks in between these meals, especially if I feel hungry or need an energy boost.

  3. What time do you usually have your last meal?
I usually have my last meal around 7 PM. It allows me to have enough time to digest my food before going to bed. I try to keep some time between dinner and sleep to promote better digestion.

  4. Is your diet healthy? Why do you think so?
Yes, I believe my diet is healthy because I focus on eating whole foods, like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. I try to limit processed foods, added sugars, and unhealthy fats. This approach helps me maintain my energy levels and overall health.

  5. Is eating only healthy food important to you? Why?
While I do prioritize healthy food, I think balance is also essential. Eating healthy food is important for my physical well-being, but I believe that occasional treats are fine for my mental satisfaction. It’s all about moderation for me.

  6. What would you recommend to a teenager who wants to start a healthy diet?
I would recommend that a teenager start by gradually incorporating more fruits and vegetables into their meals. They should also try to reduce sugary snacks and drinks. It’s important to find healthy foods that they genuinely enjoy and to stay active as it enhances a healthy lifestyle. Keeping a balance and not being too hard on oneself is also key to enjoying the journey to better eating habits.
