Today's programme is. about a fire festival, which sourids dangersus, doesn't it? But don't worry! Fire festivals are safe - arid they're a lot. of fun! So join me in the UK, where we're visiting a very special festival called Burning the Clocks. Burning the Clocks takes. place on 21st December every year in the town of Brighton in the UK. There a parade that goes through the town to Brighton Beach with people wearing costumes and carrying homemade lanterns. Wher the parade reaches the beach, people burn their lanterns cn the sand. This is where the festival gets its name, because every lantern has got a dock face on it. Finally, there is a fireworks display over the English Channel. It's a beautiful sight! Overall, Burning the Clocks is a great festival. Friends and family come together to make their lanterns, join the parade and watch the fireworks display on the beach. I actually go to Burning the Clocks every year. I love standing on the beach in the dark, watching the fireworks. For me, it's a great way to escape from all the crowds doing their Christmas shopping! So, that's all from Brighton's famous fire festival.
