Read the task, prepare your 3-minute speech in English. Recently you've presented a new phone to your granny. She is amazed by all the stuff available now. There are so many funny pet videos she should forward you, countless memes are waiting for your reply, animated postcards are obligatory for any occasion. You're glad that your grandma is up to date, but it's impossible to stand this information flow anymore. You've decided to send her a message, and here's your plan: Praise her skills. Politely explain what bothers you. Describe the main rules of online communication. Finish on a happy note.

Three-Minute Speech:

Hello everyone,

Today, I want to share an engaging story about my recent experience with my grandma and her new phone. It’s truly a testament to how technology bridges generational gaps.

First and foremost, I would like to take a moment to praise my grandma. She has embraced this new device with such enthusiasm and skill that it honestly amazes me. From navigating apps to watching videos, she’s become a pro! It’s heartwarming to see her diving into the digital world, forwarding hilarious pet videos and discovering new memes. Her excitement is infectious, and I feel proud of her willingness to adapt to these changes.

However, as much as I appreciate her efforts, I must admit I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sheer volume of messages and content she sends me daily. It seems every time I check my phone, there’s a new forwarded video or meme waiting for my attention! While I absolutely love connecting with her and sharing laughs, it’s important for me to explain kindly that there are times when I may not be able to respond immediately.

To help us communicate better, I want to share some basic rules of online communication. Firstly, it’s great to keep messages short and sweet—this helps in getting to the point quickly and makes it easier for the recipient to respond. Secondly, timing is key! It’s okay to wait for someone to reply before sending more content. Lastly, let’s remember that quality is often better than quantity; instead of sending many forwarded messages, one or two that we can discuss would be wonderful.

As I wrap up, I want my grandma to know how much I cherish our communication and her newfound skills. I look forward to our digital chats and can’t wait to share more funny moments together. Remember, we can always find a balance that keeps both of us happy!

Thank you for listening!

This speech balances praise, constructive feedback, and encouragement, fostering a positive environment for communication with my grandma.
