A Story From My Granny's Past Let me tell you a wild story that my granny told me about one of her adventures when she was young. It was the summer of 1965, and my granny, just a teenager herself, was walking with her friends in the little town where they grew up. They had a big plan to sneak into the local carnival, which, as everyone knew, was closed to children their age, but the temptation of cotton candy and Ferris wheel rides was too great to resist. They dressed in their best outfits, giggling about how brave they were and feeling like rebels against all the 'boring adult rules.' So, there they were, with hearts racing and adrenaline pumping as they tiptoec past the gate. Everything was going perfectly until they were spotted by a grump security guard who looked like he had just stepped out of a classic movie. Instead c running away, though, my brave granny stood her ground. She couldn't let anyon ruin their fun, so she started chatting with the guard, trying to charm him with h silly jokes and infectious laughter. To everyone's surprise, it actually worked! Th guard ended up laughing and even gave them a warning instead of kicking the out. It was luck! Just when they thought they were safe, they were spotted by the carni owner. He was a tall man with a thick mustache, and let's just say he wasn't in mood to joke. While they were puzzling over what to do next, my grandmother t an idea that was as crazy as it was smart. She suggested they perform their little show right here in front of the Ferris wheel. Together with her friends, t danced and sang, gathering a small crowd that cheered them on. The owner, tr to save his reputation, let them finish, and by the end of their spontane performance, even he forced a smile. After that unforgettable day, my granny and her friends felt like they conquered the world. Years later, she still laughs every time she remembers adventure, saying it taught her that pranks, laughter and friendship always the best memories. And honestly, I think this story is a reminder to be sponta and create our own fun, no matter the circumstances! 1) to run away. D. When they were spotted by the carnival owner, Granny had an idea … 2) to hide behind the Ferris wheel. 3) to make a show in front of the Ferris wheel. 4) to ask for forgiveness. E. From her adventure that she shared years later Granny learnt that … 1) pranks and friendship can be remembered for years. 2) children shouldn't break adults' rules. 3) children should be taught to be spontaneous. 4) it wasn't fun to make pranks.
