As an 8th grader, my answer to the question "Do you like horror movies? Why or why not?" would be: Yes, I enjoy horror movies because they are thrilling and keep me on the edge of my seat. I love the suspense and the unexpected twists that make the story exciting. Watching horror movies with friends makes it even more fun since we can share our reactions and scream together. However, sometimes horror movies can be too scary or disturbing for me. I don’t like when they have too much violence or graphic scenes because they can be really unsettling. Also, some horror movies are just not well-made and rely too much on jump scares rather than a good storyline, which makes them less enjoyable. Overall, I appreciate the creativity in horror films, but I also prefer a good balance between suspense and storytelling.
