He was born to the mighty god Zeus and a mortal woman named Alcmene. Hercules had incredible strength, bravery and clever mind. He embarked on a fantastic journey filled with incredible challenges known as the Twelve Labours. Each task was more difficult than the last, but Hercules was determined to prove his worth and protect his homeland. The first of Hercules' adventures brought him face to face with the fearsome Nemean Lion, a beast with skin too tough for any weapon to pierce. Armed only with his courage, Hercules fought the lion with his own bare hands and wore its skin as a cloak. In another challenge, he had to capture the Golden Hind, a magical deer that could outrun any creature.
