The Russian Puppet Theatre A puppet is a doll in the shape of a man or an animal. A person (or a puppeteer) controls it with long strings. It can be a marionette or a glove puppet. There are a lot of different kinds of puppets. People make them from different materials such as wood, plastic, glass, or cloth. Sometimes a puppet can open and close its eyes and the mouth.
