The illustration depicts a small house with a red roof and a chimney, situated amidst a countryside landscape. It's set against a backdrop of overcast skies with rain pouring down, which is evident from the raindrops visible in the scene.

Two trees stand near the house, their leaves being tossed by the wind, emphasizing the stormy weather. In the foreground, there's a small pond reflecting the surrounding scene.

Two people wearing raincoats and hats can be seen nearby, appearing to brace against the wind as they walk, which adds a dynamic feel to the otherwise tranquil rural setting. The overall atmosphere suggests a rainy, windy day in a pastoral area.
