Вопрос от Анонимного юзера 07 мая 2025 08:28

Напиши письмо для подруги из Англии, в котором будет ответы на вопросы от её письма: as you know, it has been my sister's birthday recently. She got one present that she was surprised at - a tank with a goldfish, to bring her luck. Do you prefer to get money or items as a gift? How do you react on gifts which you like and don't like? What is the worst present you hav ever got?

Dear [Friend's Name],

Thank you for your lovely letter! I was so happy to hear about your sister’s birthday and her unique gift — a tank with a goldfish. That sounds very special and original!

Regarding your questions:

  1. Do I prefer to get money or items as a gift?
I think it depends on the situation. I sometimes prefer receiving money because I can use it to buy something I really want or need. However, I also appreciate gifts because they show thoughtfulness and effort. Both have their own charm!

  2. How do I react to gifts I like and don't like?
When I receive a gift I like, I feel very happy and grateful. I usually thank the person sincerely and try to show my appreciation. If I get something I don't like or it’s not really my style, I still thank the giver politely, because they put effort into choosing it. I believe it’s more important to appreciate the kindness behind the gift than the gift itself.

  3. What is the worst present I have ever received?
Honestly, I once received a very unusual present — a silly novelty mug that was not really my taste. At first, I didn’t know what to say, but I simply thanked the person because I knew they meant well. It taught me that the thought and intention matter most.

Thanks again for your letter! I look forward to hearing more about your adventures.

Take care!
