Letter to Alex (75-85 words)

Dear Alex,

Thanks for your last message. It was great to hear from you. I hope you’re well. I’m writing to share some news and make plans for the weekend. I’ve joined the local football team and we have a match on Saturday afternoon. After the game, maybe we could grab a coffee and chat about our exams. If you’re free, let me know what time suits you. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best wishes, Sam

Speaking: 2-3 minute talk about sports

Hello everyone. I’d like to talk about sports. I like several kinds of sport, especially team sports such as football and basketball. I enjoy them because they are fast-paced, social, and rewarding when you work as a team. I also like swimming for relaxation and full-body training. I don’t enjoy golf much; it can feel slow, and I miss the quick feedback you get in ball sports. For example, last weekend I scored a goal after dribbling past two players, which felt amazing. I also enjoy watching major tournaments because they show great teamwork and tactics.

Regarding what I go in for, football is my main sport. I train twice a week with a local club and we play matches on weekends. I also play basketball with friends when possible, and I swim twice a week to balance cardio with strength work.

Sports keep me fit, help me manage stress, and teach discipline, time management, and teamwork. They give me chances to meet people, make friends, and sometimes experience healthy competition. I know some people prefer individual activities like running, but I enjoy the shared energy of teams and the strategy involved in games.

To stay injury-free, I vary training with mobility work, stretching, and rest days. I’d also like to improve my passing accuracy and perhaps help younger players in a local club someday.

In conclusion, I mostly participate in football, with basketball and swimming as companions. If you’d like to know more about my training routine or favorite teams, I’d be happy to share. Thank you for listening. If you have questions, I’d be glad to answer.
