Our Autumn Festival at School
Our school hosts an Autumn Festival every year. It usually takes place on the first weekend of October, when the air is cooler and the leaves are turning golden. The festival is held on the school grounds, with lights strung between the trees and a big stage for performances. It feels cozy and exciting at the same time.
There are many activities to enjoy. There is a craft market where students and teachers sell handmade bracelets, drawings, and small gifts. We also have games like sack races and a treasure hunt that sends us around the campus to find clues. In the evening, a short play and several music performances by students fill the air with energy and laughter. I love trying a bit of everything, especially visiting the craft stalls and watching the performances.
I usually go with my best friend and a couple of other classmates. Sometimes our parents join us for a short while to see the shows and take a few photos. It’s nice to have someone to share the fun with.
For food and drinks, the festival offers many tasty options. You can find warm churros, slices of pizza, and popcorn, plus hot chocolate to warm up on a chilly day. There are also healthier choices like apples and carrot sticks, and a variety of fruit juice and lemonade. It’s easy to pick something you like, and there’s always something new to try.
This festival is a wonderful break from lessons. It helps me feel connected to my school and my friends, and I leave with happy memories and a camera full of photos. I look forward to it every year.
