This summer I traveled to the coast with my family and spent long days on the beach.
We rented a small cottage by the lake which offered quiet mornings and stunning sunsets.
I woke up early most days to jog along the shore and watch the fishermen return with their boats.
In the afternoons I read several novels I had promised myself to finish, especially mysteries and science fiction.
I also enrolled in a short summer course to improve my English and met people from different countries.
We took a weekend trip to the mountains, where I hiked scenic trails and learned to identify wildflowers.
My brother and I cooked new recipes, testing summer salads and grilled fish.
I kept a travel journal, noting down small details that I would forget otherwise.
The evenings were quiet, and I spent some time reflecting on my goals for the upcoming semester.
Overall, it was a restorative break that balanced rest, learning, and time with loved ones.
