Learning Objectives By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: use vocabulary related to family members and relationships; describe their own family and talk about family traditions; express opinions about family roles and responsibilities; understand a short authentic text about family life and answer comprehension questions; practice speaking in pairs and small groups on family-related topics. Materials Needed handout with family vocabulary and diagrams (family trees); short text (150–200 words) about a typical family in a country where English is spoken; blank family tree template for students to fill in; projector/screen for a short video clip (optional) about family traditions. Stage 4. Speaking Practice – Family Tree Activity (20 minutes) Each student receives a blank family tree template. Task: Fill in the template with names and relationships (or use fictional names if preferred).
