J. K. Rowling is my favourite author. She was born in Yate, England, in 1965. Before writing her first book, she worked as a teacher and a secretary. She became famous for the Harry Potter series. Its main characters are Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. Harry is brave and loyal, Hermione is clever and hardworking, and Ron is funny and kind. I like Rowling’s books because they are exciting and teach us that friendship and courage can help us overcome difficulties.
