Reading. Challenge accepted! Read the text and match the statements with the paragraphs. 1. I've always loved trying something new, so when my dad invited me to go climbing, I was confused and scared of heights. It first happened when I was visiting The Shard in London during the summer holidays. I heard somebody screaming and I saw that part of the floor was glass. Suddenly, I started shaking and my hands were sweating. I felt embarrassed in front of my friends and disappointed with myself. But I accepted my dad’s challenge! 2. Soon after that, I decided to attend the climbing class and decided to give it a try. When we arrived and saw the climbing wall, I gasped. The wall looked very big and scary. It was almost 50 metres high! I was glad that the instructor helped and taught me how to climb slowly and safely. It was quite hard actually, but over time I felt less anxious although it required a lot of concentration. 3. Overall, this unusual experience has made me more confident. That day, I got a buzz out of climbing. It really impressed me.. Nowadays, I’m never scared and I want to become an alpinist. But I know, there is always another challenge to accept. Which paragraph describes: a challenge that helped Josh? how the experience changed Josh? a bad experience in the past?
