Lesson 8, Exercise 2 — visible part

Hi Ted,

I am on the farm now. I came here three days ago. I am staying with my grandparents. They live in a nice cottage and keep cows and pigs.

Key rules

  • do/does + verb — Present Simple: Do they live? Does your pet like?
  • did + verb — Past Simple: Did you swim?
  • am/is/are + verb-ing — Present Continuous: Are you going?
  • was/were — past form of be: Was your mum happy?
  • will + verb — Future Simple: What will the weather be like?
  • am/is/are going to + verb — planned action: What is Mum going to cook?

Check: after do, does, did and will, we use the verb in its basic form: did you buy, not did you bought.
