Как различать

• another = «ещё один», «какой-нибудь другой». Предмет не определён:
  another peach — ещё один персик.
• the other = «другой из двух», «оставшийся». Один предмет уже назван:
  One dog is ours, the other dog is our neighbour’s.

В предложениях 2, 7, 9 и 11 прямо есть пара: one … the other. В выражениях the other side и the other hand речь также идёт о второй стороне или второй руке.
