One evening, Leo heard a quiet cry. He found a little fox trapped under a branch and helped it. After that, the fox visited him every day.

On the ninety-ninth night, the fox showed Leo a path to a river. Leo followed the river and finally found a road. He was happy to go home, but he would never forget his forest friend.

Как построен рассказ: сначала герой попадает в трудную ситуацию, затем проходит через испытания, а в конце находит выход. Для рассказа о прошлом использованы глаголы в Past Simple: got, had, found, made, heard, helped, followed.
