My house is not very big, but it is cozy. There is a garden in front of the house. We have a green lawn and a fence around the garden. We also have a garage and a greenhouse behind the house. The house has central heating, electricity, cold and hot water.

Downstairs our house has a hall, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. The hall has a mirror, a telephone and a clock. The living room is the largest room in the house. It has a sofa, two armchairs, a TV set, a carpet and curtains. In the corner there is a standard lamp. In the middle of the room there is a small table.

The kitchen is small, but it has a fridge, a cooker, a microwave oven and a washing machine. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a study. My bedroom has a bed, a bedside table, a chest of drawers, a blanket and a pillow. I also have a brush and a comb on the dressing table. The bathroom has a shower, a towel, soap and shampoo.

I like my house because it is comfortable and my family lives there.

Как собрать такой рассказ самому

1. Иди по плану «снаружи → внутри → наверху → любимое место».
   Сначала общее: дом или квартира, большой или маленький. Потом что вокруг: garden, lawn, fence, garage. Затем комнаты внизу: hall, living room, kitchen, bathroom. Потом наверху: bedrooms, study. В конце — любимая комната и почему.

2. Бери слова по рубрикам таблицы.
   Описываешь кухню — смотри раздел KITCHEN (fridge, cooker, microwave oven). Описываешь спальню — BEDROOM (bed, pillow, blanket, chest of drawers). Так слова сами складываются в абзацы, и ничего не нужно выдумывать.

3. Связывай слова конструкциями, а не просто перечисляй.
   Используй There is с единственным числом и There are с множественным:
   There is a sofa in the living room. There are two armchairs.
   Добавляй предлоги места: in the corner, in the middle of, on the wall, in front of, behind, upstairs, downstairs.

4. Не вставляй все слова из таблицы подряд.
   Хватит 10–12 подходящих слов. Если у тебя квартира, замени house на flat, garden на balcony, а garage и greenhouse убери — добавь lift и chute.

Проверь себя:
— есть вступление и вывод;
— there is / there are согласованы с числом;
— использованы слова хотя бы из 4–5 рубрик таблицы;
— нет русских слов и списка без предлогов.
