Space
The text is about space. We live on the planet Earth. It is very beautiful: there are mountains, seas and a lot of countries on it. In the sky there are lots of stars. They shine at night, and the Sun shines during the day. There are also many other planets.
People want to know more about space, so they have satellites and spaceships. The first man in space was Yuri Gagarin. The first woman in space was Valentina Tereshkova. The first animal in space was the dog Laika. The first men on the Moon were American astronauts.
Let us look into a spaceship! There is a big computer there. There are armchairs with seat-belts for astronauts, a sleep-station, a kitchen, a washbasin and a walking-machine to keep fit. The new worlds are waiting for the Earth people.
Как получился такой пересказ: ключевые шаги
1. Текст делится на три блока — по ним и строится пересказ.

2. Каждый «первый» — по одной формуле. Это главный принцип таких текстов:
The first man / woman / animal / men + in space / on the Moon + was/were + имя. The first man in space was Yuri Gagarin. — The first men on the Moon were American astronauts.
Заметьте: was для одного человека, were — для группы (men). Именно на этом чаще всего «ловят» на пересказе.
3. Пересказ ≠ перевод. Не нужно переводить каждое предложение. Достаточно: тема → 2–3 главные мысли → вывод последней фразой (The new worlds are waiting for the Earth people). Так пересказ звучит как ваш текст, а не как чтение вслух.
4. Полезные связки для своего пересказа: The text is about… / It says that… / Also… / That is why… / So, we can see that…

Обратите внимание на вопросы 3 и 4: они построены на was/were, и в ответе нужен короткий ответ (No, they weren't), а не только «Americans».
