Почему так

1. A и B — мебель и комнаты.
   В обороте There is… сначала называем предмет, затем помещение:
   There is a bed in the bedroom. — «В спальне есть кровать».
   Основные связи:

   • sofa, coffee table → living room
   • bed, wardrobe → bedroom
   • bath → bathroom
   • cooker → kitchen

2. C — время.

   • 15 минут = quarter past; 30 = half past; 45 = quarter to следующего часа.
   • 10:45 — «без пятнадцати одиннадцать», поэтому quarter to eleven.
   • 12:00 — ровно двенадцать: twelve o’clock.
   • Порядковые числа: 1st — first, 12th — twelfth, 20th — twentieth.

3. D — предлоги времени.

   • at — точное время: at 7 o’clock, at 9:00 pm; также at the weekend в британском варианте.
   • on — дни недели и даты: on Mondays.
   • in — месяцы, времена года, части дня: in May, in the morning.
     Исключение по смыслу: at night — «ночью».
