• Вопрос “Explain why…” требует ответа с because — то есть нужно назвать причину.
• В 1-м пункте в тексте есть прямая подсказка: “They were loyal and reliable friends.” — «Они были верными и надёжными друзьями».
• Во 2-м пункте ищем, за что учитель мог гордиться: strong, confident and hard-working, practised every day. Дополнительно мальчики проявили характер после поражения: learnt from their mistakes, were patient, got back their confidence.
