How to solve matching tasks
- Match the function or key idea, not just one repeated word: a closer is the pitcher who finishes the game; a double is a two-base hit; an inning is a section of the game; on deck means next to bat.
- For equipment, match the body part or purpose: chest protector = padded vest; cup = genital protection; catcher’s mask = face bars.
- For field words, use location: infield = diamond area; outfield = beyond the diamond; shortstop = between second and third base; right field = an outfield position.
- Check: all letters A–T are used exactly once.
