Краткий ответ. В заданиях 6–7 нужно рассказать, где находились предметы в классе утром и днём. Вот готовый образец:

Morning

• In the morning, the classroom was tidy.
• The fan was on the bookcase next to the wall.
• The blackboard was clean.
• The chairs were under the desks.
• There were four desks in front of the teacher's desk.
• The bin was next to the cupboard.

Afternoon

• In the afternoon, the classroom was messy.
• The fan was on the floor in front of the teacher's desk.
• There were drawings on the blackboard.
• The chairs were upside down.
• There were books and papers on the floor.
• The teacher's desk was in front of the blackboard.

Принцип. Здесь описывается, как было раньше, поэтому используется Past Simple:

1. was — если предмет один: The fan was... The blackboard was...
2. were — если предметов несколько: The chairs were... There were books...
3. После глагола ставим предлог места: on, under, next to, in front of, behind, between, in.
4. Конструкция There was / There were нужна, когда говорим «был / были»: There was a bin... There were four desks...

Проверка. The fan — единственное число, значит was. The chairs, books, desks — множественное число, значит were. Сравни: утром вентилятор был на шкафу, а днём — на полу перед столом учителя. В учебнике дан именно такой образец.
