Short answer: There is no single correct answer — this is a speaking task. Below are model answers you can adapt.
3 a) Discuss the questions with your partner.
a) I think her day is fairly typical for a high-school student with extracurricular activities: she has classes, volunteering, band practice and homework. But her day is busier than average because she stays online until about 1 a.m.
b) My day is similar but a little less busy. At 6:15 I get up and get dressed. At 6:30 I have breakfast. At 6:50 I leave for school. At 7:30 my classes start. At 2:30 school ends. At 7:00 I have dinner with my family. At 7:30 I do my homework. At 9:30 I relax, and at 11:00 I go to bed.
c) I spend about three hours online on an average day. I use that time to message friends, watch videos, listen to music and look up information for homework.
b) Tell the class about your partner. I learned that my partner gets up at about 6:45 and spends two hours online a day. The most interesting thing is that he/she also plays in a school band, like the girl in the text.
How to make your own answer:
- In a, give your opinion + two reasons.
- In b, use time phrases from the text + the present simple: At 6:15 I get up.
- In c, give a number + examples: I spend two hours online — I chat and watch videos.
- In the last part, report information: I learned that... / He said that...
