Почему так

Здесь везде Present Simple — простое настоящее время. Его главное правило:

• he / she / it → глагол получает окончание -s / -es:
  works, watches, likes, has, goes.
• I / you / we / they → глагол без окончания:
  go, play, do.
• Отрицание строится так:
  don’t / doesn’t + инфинитив без -s.
  Поэтому: doesn’t live, don’t go, don’t do.

Подлежащее может быть выражено несколькими словами:

• my mother = she → works;
• my father = he → watches;
• our school = it → has;
• my children = they → don’t;
• my friend and I = we → play.

b) watch после he → watches (окончание -es после -ch).
