Ex. 2. Future Continuous: will be + V-ing

1. The child will be sleeping at this time tomorrow.
2. The students will be having a lecture on Philosophy at this time tomorrow.

5. The girl will be looking for her note-book at this time tomorrow.

Ex. 3. Past Continuous: was / were + V-ing

1. Alison was having lunch at two o’clock yesterday.
2. Edward and Henry were playing the guitar all the evening.
3. Ben was running in the park in the morning yesterday.
4. I was speaking to the manager from three to half past five last Thursday.
5. My grandparents were driving to Poltava at this time yesterday.
6. Lucy was ironing clothes from 4 to 6 o’clock last Saturday.
7. You were sleeping for three hours in the afternoon.
8. Julia was listening to the news at this time yesterday.
9. My mother was dusting the furniture when I came home yesterday.
10. We were playing on the playground all day last Sunday.

Как понять принцип

• Future Continuous = will be + глагол с -ing.
  Показатель — действие будет происходить в конкретный момент в будущем:
  now → at this time tomorrow.

• Past Continuous = was / were + глагол с -ing.
  was — с I, he, she, it;
  were — с you, we, they и существительными во множественном числе.

• В № 7 из Ex. 2 меняем только is snowing → will be snowing, потому что Let’s have a walk — это конструкция с let’s, её не ставят в Continuous.

• В № 9 из Ex. 3 долгое действие (was dusting) прервано коротким (came), поэтому нужен Past Continuous.

Проверка: после will be, was, were обязательно идёт глагол с -ing; во множественном числе в прошлом — were, а не was.
