Exercise 6 — model answer
Moscow is a big city. It’s the capital of Russia. There is a hospital and a bank. In my neighbourhood there is a park where we take the dog for a walk and a shopping centre where we can find many shops under one roof.
Change the city and places to match your own area.
How to do a similar task
- Find the action: borrow, deposit, post, park…
- Ask: “Which building is used for this action?”
- Use the pattern: It’s a place where you can + verb.
It’s a + place. - In the description, use:
- There is a… for one place;
- There are… for several places;
- where we/I can… to add what you do there.
Check: use a/an for one non-specific place — a library, a hospital. “Learn a new skill” is usually matched with a college in this vocabulary set.
