Dear Jill,

Thanks for your letter. It was nice to hear from you. I liked reading about your favourite dish, pizza. I like traditional Russian dishes: borscht, pelmeni and pancakes. My favourite dish is pelmeni with sour cream. They are very tasty. I also like pancakes with honey. I don’t eat fast food very often because it is not healthy. Sometimes I have a burger with my friends. What traditional dishes do you like? What kind of pizza do you like? Do you often eat fast food? Write back soon.

Как понять задание

• В Task 2 важно смотреть на смысл и соседние слова: happened to him — «случилось с ним», речь о папе; when — «когда»; get back — «вернуться»; he заменяет Dad; until — «до тех пор, пока».
• В Task 3 конструкция get + прилагательное значит «становиться»: It’s getting cold/late, We are getting tired. После can’t/couldn’t/shall/to нужна начальная форма: get off, get rid of, get out of, get into, get to. После when о будущем и после every year — Present Simple: get rich, get together.
• В письме есть обращение, благодарность, ответы на все вопросы, вопросы другу, завершающая фраза и имя; объём — 93 слова.
