Как это работает:
- Дополнение активного предложения становится подлежащим пассивного: the meal, the picture, the room.
- Глагол \(be\) ставится в том же времени, что и активный глагол:
- Present Simple Passive: \(am/is/are + V_3\);
- Past Simple Passive: \(was/were + V_3\).
- Смысловой глагол ставится в третью форму: cook — cooked, paint — painted, clean — cleaned.
- Исполнитель действия добавляется с помощью \(by\): by the chef, by the artist, by the children.
Проверка: в настоящем времени получаются формы is cooked / is painted / is cleaned, в прошедшем — was cooked / was painted / was cleaned. Слово children стоит после \(by\), поэтому оно не влияет на форму глагола: подлежащее the room — единственного числа.

Ключевое различие:
- by — кто или что совершает действие: by my grandfather, by a famous poet, by the strong wind;
