Model answer
The World in 10 Years’ Time
In ten years’ time, our world will be different in several ways. I think there will be more people because medicine will improve and people will live longer. The world will probably be quieter because most cars will be electric and will make less noise. It will also be cleaner, since we will use more solar and wind energy. People will have more time for sports and hobbies because robots will do many boring jobs for us.
However, some things will not change. We will still eat bread, rice, fruit and vegetables, although we may also eat more food made from plants. Offices and schools will be different because many people will work and study online. In my opinion, family and friends will always be the most important part of our lives.
How to build your own answer
- Use “will” for predictions: \(will + \text{base verb}\) — will be, will eat, will live.
- Answer “Why?” with a reason: use because, since or as.
- Use comparatives: more people, quieter, cleaner, more time.
- Say what will stay the same: We will still eat…, Family and friends will always…
- Check the six boxes: more people, noise, cleanliness, free time, food, offices/schools.
Quick check: the model article answers all six questions and explains each prediction. It also includes the “What will be the same?” idea.
