I would like to talk about Maslenitsa, one of the most popular traditional festivals in Russia. It takes place at the end of winter and lasts for a whole week. During this festival, people say goodbye to winter and welcome the beginning of spring. Families make and eat pancakes, which are a symbol of the sun and warm weather. In many cities, there are colorful fairs, concerts, and traditional outdoor games. Children enjoy sledding, snowball fights, and other winter activities. At the end of the festival, people burn a large straw effigy to say goodbye to winter. This tradition makes the festival bright, noisy, and memorable for everyone. I think Maslenitsa is important because it brings families and friends together. That is why I would recommend everyone to see this festival at least once.

Ivan Kupala Day (very short version)
Ivan Kupala Day is an old Russian folk festival. It is celebrated in early July, on the shortest night of the year. People light big bonfires, jump over the fire and sing traditional songs. Girls make flower wreaths and put them into the water to tell the future. The festival is fun and full of old beliefs. I think it is a great example of Russian traditions.
