Chocolate-and-orange cakes
- 150 grams flour
- 150 grams cold butter
- 150 grams sugar
- 100 grams chocolate
- 3 eggs
- a small cup of orange juice
- a little milk
Be careful with the knife!
- Cut the chocolate into small pieces.
- Cut the butter into very small pieces.
- Put the sugar and butter into a bowl and mix them with a fork.
- Add the flour, juice and chocolate. Mix everything with a large spoon.
- Put the eggs and milk into another bowl, and mix them with a fork.
- Add the eggs and milk to the flour, sugar, butter and chocolate.
- Make small cakes.
- Cook them for about 15–20 minutes at 200°C.

Why (pictures 1–8 in order):
- e — the chocolate is cut into small pieces.
- d — the butter is cut into very small pieces.
- h — sugar and butter are put into a bowl and mixed with a fork.
- c — flour, juice and chocolate are added and mixed with a large spoon.
- a — eggs and milk are put into another bowl.
- g — the eggs and milk are added to the flour, sugar, butter and chocolate.
- b — small cakes are made (dough put into the cake tins).
- f — the cakes are cooked for about 15–20 minutes at 200°C.
Check: the steps follow the recipe in order, so the picture sequence is e, d, h, c, a, g, b, f. Steps d and h are easy to mix up: d is cutting, h is mixing.
