- Sam — мальчик: I like him — «я люблю его»;
- Bella и её друзья: have fun with us — «веселиться с нами».

- was — для одного человека: Dima, Oleg;
- were — для нескольких: Masha and her sister, Anya and Lena.
Поэтому: Dima was, Masha and her sister were, Oleg was, Anya and Lena were.
