Teenagers often have busy lives. Some spend more time with their families, others prefer to be with their friends. Good relationships in the family are very important because they help us feel safe and happy. My cousin Kate, for example, is very close to her parents. She always shares her secrets with her mum. Kate is tall and slim, with long fair hair and green eyes. She is open-minded and optimistic. In her free time, she does sports and also enjoys painting. Kate says that her hobbies help her relax after school.

1. Listening — по этой фотографии ответить нельзя: варианты a/b/c проверяются только по звучащей записи, а её здесь нет. Нужен сам аудиофайл или его расшифровка.
2. Reading — ответы находятся прямо в тексте:
- b — They help teenagers feel safe and happy.
- b — open-minded and optimistic.
- a — tall, slim, with fair hair and green eyes.
- Правильный вариант тот, где сказано про sports и painting (видимый на фото a) «She only studies» — неверный; варианты b и c обрезаны кадром).
Как это устроено
Главный принцип: в таких тестах вопросы идут в том же порядке, что и информация в тексте. Значит, к каждому следующему вопросу ищем ответ дальше по тексту, а не заново с начала.
Разберём по вопросам.
Вопрос 1. Ключевые слова — family relationships. В тексте: «Good relationships in the family are very important because they help us feel safe and happy». Сравниваем варианты: a) «not important» — прямо противоречит слову very important; c) «always difficult» — в тексте этого нет вообще; b) дословно совпадает с причиной из текста. Ответ b.
Вопрос 2. Формула What is Kate like? спрашивает о характере, а не о внешности. В тексте: «She is open-minded and optimistic». Ответ b. Вариант a) «lazy and shy» — это слова-ловушки: их в тексте нет.
Вопрос 3. Теперь наоборот: What does Kate look like? — это про внешность. В тексте: «Kate is tall and slim, with long fair hair and green eyes». Ответ a. Вариант b) «short, dark hair, blue eyes» — все три признака заменены на противоположные, это типичная ловушка.
Вопрос 4. Ключ — in her free time. В тексте: «In her free time, she does sports and also enjoys painting». Значит, верным будет вариант, где есть оба этих занятия.
Вывод-правило: перед выбором ответа найди в тексте то предложение, где встречается ключевое слово вопроса (relationships, like, look like, free time), и сравнивай варианты именно с ним, а не «по общему смыслу».
Про аудирование
Приём тот же, но работает до прослушивания:
- заранее прочитай вопросы и подчеркни ключевые слова (live with, Emily, look like, free time, last month);
- помни, что вопросы идут по порядку записи — не потеряешься;
- при первом прослушивании отвечай на то, что успел, при втором — проверяй сомнительные пункты;
- остерегайся вариантов, где звучат знакомые слова, но в другой комбинации (как в вопросах 2 и 3).
