Hi Kate,

I'm writing to tell you about Maya. She is fourteen and comes from Canada. She volunteers at an animal shelter and helps care for homeless dogs and cats. She spends every Saturday there. Maya is kind, patient and really hard-working. She is also very brave because she is not afraid of difficult situations. I find her interesting because she gives up her free time to help animals. I think she is a very special person. Her example shows that even teenagers can make a difference.
