Thanks for your letter! I'm enjoying my holidays a lot. In my free time I usually read books, listen to music and watch films. Sometimes I go out with my friends: we walk in the park or go to a café. At weekends I spend time with my family — we visit my grandparents or go to the country.
I don't do many sports, but I play badminton and table tennis with my friends, and I often play computer games in the evening. Your basketball sounds great fun! Write back soon.

Dear Alex,
Thanks for your letter! It was interesting to read about your French lessons. I am learning German besides English. At first it seemed hard, but now I enjoy it. I like language learning because it helps me understand other cultures and speak to people from different countries. Grammar is the most difficult part for me too, so I revise the rules and watch films in German. I think regular practice and speaking with native speakers are the best ways to improve.
In the future, I am planning to use foreign languages while travelling and maybe in my job. I also hope to study abroad one day.

Thanks for your letter! It's great that you are coming to Russia. I think you should see the Amur embankment first, because it is the most beautiful place in our city. Two days is enough to see the main sights of Blagoveshchensk.
As for museums, I recommend the Amur Regional Museum of Local Lore — it is the oldest museum in the Far East. You can also visit the Annunciation Cathedral, the Triumphal Arch and the monument to the Cossack settlers. By the way, January is very cold here, so take warm clothes.
