Yes, I have… / I know… / I prefer…
  2. Добавь конкретику: название книги, автора, жанр, дату.
  3. Закончи мнением: I think… because…

Полезные конструкции: I have read… — об опыте; It was written in… — о дате; I prefer… because… — о выборе.

Образец ответов

  1. I know “War and Peace” by Leo Tolstoy (1863–1869), “Crime and Punishment” by Fyodor Dostoevsky (1866) and “The Captain’s Daughter” by Alexander Pushkin (1836). I have read “The Captain’s Daughter”. I remember Pyotr Grinyov because he is honest and brave, and Masha Mironova because she is strong and loyal.

  2. I know Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, Charlotte Brontë and J. K. Rowling. I have read “Oliver Twist” by Dickens. I think it is a moving novel about poverty and injustice; Oliver is sympathetic, and Nancy is brave.

  3. I have read an adapted version of “Romeo and Juliet”. Plays are not always easy to read because they are mostly dialogue and stage directions, but they become easier if you imagine the performance. I prefer watching a play in the theatre because acting, music and scenery make the story more vivid.

  4. I remember William Shakespeare, Molière, Anton Chekhov and George Bernard Shaw. I have seen a stage production of “Romeo and Juliet” and a school production of “The Cherry Orchard”.

  5. I like some poetry, but I do not read poems very often. I think people should be taught to read and understand poetry because it develops language and empathy. My favourite poet is Alexander Pushkin. I have tried to write a short poem, but it was not very successful.

  6. Short stories are popular because they are quick to read, fit a busy schedule and often have a strong twist. I prefer adventure and detective stories. Boys and girls do not always choose the same kinds: some prefer action or science fiction, others prefer romance, but it depends on the person rather than gender alone.

  7. I know Aesop, Jean de La Fontaine and Ivan Krylov. A fable is usually a short story, often in verse, with animal characters and a clear moral; other poems often express feelings or create images rather than teach a lesson. Fables may be less popular today because people prefer longer, more realistic stories and can get simple lessons from films or social media.

  8. People still enjoy myths, legends and fairy tales because they deal with universal themes, such as good and evil, courage and love, and offer wonder and escape. In childhood I liked “Cinderella” and Russian folk tales about Ivan Tsarevich; I also liked the myth of Perseus.

Проверка: в каждом ответе есть прямая реакция, пример и причина. Для устного ответа не нужно пересказывать весь сюжет — важнее показать своё отношение.
