Burning man is an annual event held somewhere in the Nevada desert on the last Monday of August. It usually lasts eight days, while the main event takes place on Saturday when the huge statue of a man is being burnt. The first "burning" was done in 1986 by a tiny group of friends, but later the number of participants has increased a lot. During the time of the festival a great amount of pieces of art are set in the desert. Some of them are of fantastic shapes. Mutant vehicles are run here, some people are dressed in unusual costumes of animals, art objects, art characters, etc. Musicians and groups come to give performances; the stages with DJs work day and night.
