Grammar in a text: mixed passives. Complete the text with the correct passive forms.
was taken - "When I arrived in the Dream Country I was taken straight to the Palace."
was told - "...I was told that I was the Great King..."
had been expected - "...who had been expected for many years."
were carried out - "'All your commands,' they said, 'were carried out immediately."
be fulfilled - "Your most extravagant wishes be fulfilled..."
was bought - "...a monkey on a solid gold bicycle was bought at once."
would be sacrificed - "For the next twelve months you will be all-powerful. But a year from today you would be sacrificed to the gods."
was brought - "Everything I wanted was brought to me at once."
was attended - "I was attended by beautiful women..."
was given - "I was given delicious food and wine..."
was dressed - "...and I was dressed in wonderful clothes and priceless jewellery."
was played - "My favourite music was played by the palace orchestra from morning to night."
was governed - "The whole country was governed exactly as I commanded."
