1. A: Did you visit the doctor at 5 o'clock yesterday? B: No, I was at the hospital.

(Past Simple):

1. A: Did you go to school yesterday? B: No, I was sick.
2. A: What did you have for breakfast yesterday? B: A glass of milk and cereal.
3. A: Did you meet John last night? B: Yes, we went to the cinema together.
4. A: How many books did you buy? B: I bought one.

Past Simple:

Hello Mary, Tom and I went to Paris last weekend and I want to tell you about it. Our hotel was great so on our first night we ate (there). The next day we decided to visit the Eiffel Tower of course. There were lots of people, but the view was amazing. Then we went shopping and I bought a very expensive jacket! On Sunday we had breakfast at the hotel and then we visited Notre Dame. Everything was wonderful.
